Hello sports fans! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday, and found some time for rest and relaxation before the Christmas madness begins!

Speaking of madness, did you venture out for some Black Friday shopping?  My tradition is to stay home and get started on the Christmas decorating, and I enjoyed that practice again this year.  I did do a little shopping on Small Business Saturday and on Cyber Monday, and got a great start on my list (and found a few goodies for myself).

Do you have sports fans on your shopping list?  You’ll want to check out last week’s post if you missed it, because I shared a list of 25 goodies sure to please in 25 Gift Ideas for the Sports Lover in Your Life.

If you would rather make a few gifts yourself, read on for some ideas on wonderful DIY gifts to make in that sports fan’s favorite team colors:

Recycled T-Shirt Jewelry is easy to make, and you can get multiple necklace scarves and bracelets out of just 2 t-shirts.  I cheer on my Wisconsin Badgers in Red and White, but you can make yours in any colors you choose!

These fun Braided Spirit Bracelets are made from embroidery floss, can be whipped up in just minutes, and are great stocking stuffers.  But be careful, as they can be kind of addictive!

Everyone needs a scarf to keep their neck warm when it’s cold outside, and this Yarn Fringed Fleece Scarf is a great way to show your team spirit during the winter months.  Last year, I made a bunch in green with red fringe as Christmas gifts for my book club friends!

Pompoms are so trendy right now, and you’ll find lots of ways to use them once you get started making them.  Book lovers would be happy to find these adorable Pompom Bookmarks in their stocking.

Tassels are also very popular right now, and these Team Spirit Tassels can be attached to anything from a purse to a backpack to a key chain.

This 2-Color Braided Edge Fleece Scarf will take a little bit more time than the other DIYs I’ve shared so far, but is totally worth the effort.  A double thickness of fleece makes it extra warm, and your color choices can make it the perfect team spirit wear.

And last but not least, how about something to add some style to the man cave or a child’s bedroom?  Make one or more pieces of art from this Sports Wall Decor series!

There you go!  I hope you found one or more ideas that you are excited about starting right away!

Happy crafting!
