Hello fellow sports fans!
Are you watching the World Series this week? Waiting for the Major League Soccer playoffs that start soon? Or maybe you are all about football, hockey or basketball?
No matter, because the project I’m sharing today will work well in any sports team colors, or in any other colors of your choice!
A few weeks ago, I shared a scarf holder project that gets attached to a wall, and works great for lighter weight scarves. This week, I’m showing you an alternate for those heavier fall and winter scarves. It needs no wall space, and takes up only a little hanging space in your closet. In fact, I used mine to hang 9 scarves that had all been on their own individual hangers! Talk about a space saver!

Step 1 – Collect the Supplies
 Here’s what you need:
- Clothespins
- Spray paint
- A wire hanger
Step 2 – Paint the Clothespins (do this outside)
- Take 8-10 clothespin outside and spray them with paint
- Make sure you get both sides, and the edges
- It may take more than 1 coat (I sprayed mine twice)
- HINT: Attach the clothespins to a cardboard box, standing them upright
- NOTE: I painted enough for several projects all at one time.  You don’t need as many as pictured!
- Let dry overnight
Step 3 – Create the Holder
- Hold a clothespin open, and slide it over the bottom of the wire hanger
- Push the clothespin on as far as it will go
- Make sure that the pins are all still evenly spaced and straight.
- NOTE: Some clothespin will fit tightly, and others may be very loose
Step 4 – Hang it Up!
- Clip your scarves with the clothespins
- Hang in your closet
- Stand back and admire how much space you just saved!
There’s a lot of room to personalize this project… try painting the clothespins in your team colors like I did, or in colors to match your bedroom or closet decor. Or even leave them unpainted for a more natural, rustic look!
